Crochet a Fluffy Cloud Plush ☁️

A little crochet cloud can make an ordinary corner feel softer and happier. Make yours small enough to sit on a shelf, or choose a larger size for a cuddly decorative pillow. In my free video tutorial, I’ll take you through the project step by step.

What you’ll need

Prepare yarn in your preferred cloud color, a hook suited to that yarn, stuffing, a stitch marker, a yarn needle, and scissors. The yarn you choose will change both the size and feel of the finished cloud: a smaller yarn makes a compact decoration, while a soft plush yarn gives it a squishier look.

For this project, the video uses these abbreviations: ch (chain), sc (single crochet), and ss/sl st (slip stitch). Keep your stitches close enough that the stuffing .

A few tips before you start

The cloud’s shape is the fun part, so take a moment to check its outline as you work. Add stuffing gradually and spread it into the curves rather than filling only the center. That helps the finished piece look soft and even.

If you’re making a larger cloud to use as a cushion, choose yarn that feels comfortable to touch and secure your finishing stitches carefully.
